No Hablo Ingles.
As I walked into Habaneros Mexican Grill, I knew this place was legit. I found three short Mexican ladies speaking Spanish behind the counter, and Mexican Coke in glass bottles. I somehow had stumbled into Mexico.
Habaneros sells their tacos in groups of three, so I ordered a beef, chicken, and barbacoa taco. Immediately one of the women began grilling my meat and make the tacos right in front of me. I wafted the aroma into my nostrils as I awaited these authentic tacos.
I bit into my first taco and knew we had a winner.
Each taco is stuffed with the meat of your choosing, and topped with tomatillo (green) salsa, cut onion, and plenty of cilantro. The tacos are flavorful, and just spicy enough to wake you up a little bit.
When we were there the steak taco was cooked the best, with juicy steak meat cooked to perfection. While the chicken had a great flavor, it was on the drier end of the spectrum. The barbacoa tasted amazing, but was accompanied with a little bit of grease.
All in all, delicious authentic tacos and a good price!
